Q Tax Agent is developed with Q Accountants, an ACCA-regulated London practice with around ten years' experience filing for UK sole traders. Every workflow in Q Tax Agent exists because someone there was doing it by hand.
Why we're building this
Bookkeeping creates the data. Professional judgement creates the value. As reconciliation and categorisation become increasingly automated, accountants have the opportunity to spend more of their professional time understanding the client's position, planning ahead and giving advice.
Q Tax Agent is built to make that transition commercially scalable across a large sole-trader book. MTD is what makes it urgent now, more clients and more frequent work, but that's the trigger for adoption, not the limit of what Q Tax Agent is for.
The practice behind it
Q Accountants Ltd (company no. 09744355), an ACCA-regulated practice in London, with around ten years' work with UK sole traders. It's Q Tax Agent's design partner and first user, the environment where workflows are tested on a live client book. Q Tax Agent is built for practices generally, not only for one connected practice.
Q Accountants and Q TAX share leadership: Farid Gasanov is CEO of both. We'd rather state that plainly than let anyone find it out later.
